Jungfraubahnen Sales App
Jungfraubahnen Management AG works with an international sales team to attract new business worldwide. Our task was to replace outdated tools with a modern, digital sales manual.
Until recently, the team relied on printed brochures and PowerPoint presentations in 12 languages — both prone to quickly outdated content, rigid structures, and an ever-growing archive of almost identical files clogging up the servers.
To define what a digital sales manual could be, we applied a classic design thinking approach. Through interviews and user shadowing, we gained deep insights into how the sales team operates, as well as their needs and expectations. This process ultimately led not only to a new digital tool, but to a complete digital transformation of the sales process.
The concept
The concept follows five main principles: immersion and thoughtful information design, flexibility and modularity, up-to-dateness, offline usability and present and shareability.
Immersion and information design
Content was the foundation — and together with the sales team, we reworked every single detail. Most information is brought to life through dynamic visuals, with custom 3D animations providing a vivid sense of place. For detailed topics such as group offers, travel packages, and train routes, we developed dedicated information design templates, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact.
Flexibility and modularity
Sales representatives face a wide range of scenarios — from quick 10-minute briefings to hour-long presentations, and from one-on-one meetings to audiences of over 100 people. The content structure adapts seamlessly to these varying formats, allowing reps to select, combine, and tailor modules to suit each situation.
We created a flexible system that enables users to quickly select and adapt content, change its order, and prepare a custom presentation in just a few clicks.
Up-to-dateness
Every presentation is always current — no exceptions. New videos, updated text, or price changes are instantly reflected through a headless CMS (contentful), ensuring outdated information is replaced everywhere in real time. With custom slides, sales representatives can also add specific attractions and offers to their presentations within seconds, keeping their content both accurate and tailored to the audience.
Offline usability
Even though it’s an online tool, we ensured the presentations work flawlessly in any situation. Built as a Progressive Web App (PWA), the system lets sales representatives prepare presentations offline — whether on a plane or in remote areas — and deliver them reliably, regardless of internet connectivity during their trips.
Present and shareability
From the selected slides, the system automatically generates a custom website. Sales representatives can share the link as a follow-up, allowing their audience to revisit and explore the presented information in greater depth.
